W.2 - write informative and explanatory* texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content.
*There is a difference between informative and explanatory texts, but for this unit, you will be able to choose which one to write. We will distinguish your purpose when we conference based on your individual topic. You will cover the other genre in the spring.
